Coastal Wind farm ~ 4 by seanoneill

Coastal Wind farm ~ 4

Another shot from Skegness last week. I was rather taken with this scene, with the old man hunched over walking with a stick.

Here is a link to an article about the wind farm. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lincs_Wind_Farm

Have been a touch jaded today after last night's MCC dinner at Lord's. Far too much to drink and not in bed until 3am, followed by an hour and 3/4 journey of 6 miles to the Orthodontist with Sam at 8am this morning!!

Apparently I was a bit wibbly wobbly on the train last night and talking nonsense to anyone who would listen!!
Are they in the water?

@lesip The wind farm is about 5 miles out to sea. Here is a link. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lincs_Wind_Farm

love all these wind farm images, the turbines remind me of a sci-fi film - I can always imagine them coming to life! The old man 's silhouette is just great!

This has a lovely feel to it - I think it's your composition as well as the light and waves

Wow. This is fantastic. The silhouette of the two against the giant turbines is great. Fav.

When you reproduced your gorgeous allium for your kitchen, did you have it done as a canvas or printed and framed? I was wondering the best place to go to get some prints done........you seem to know just about everything!!!
February 20th, 2013
@fannyb I had it printed on acrylic by Whitewalls. For prints I would recommend Photobox. Whitewalls better than Photobox for canvas but a lot more expensive. HTH.

@seanoneill great thank you!!

@seanoneill had to look up HTH!! yes it does!

Great composition Sean

More great contrasts in this one; dark people and light wind tubines; gentle human scene and harser industrial objects. Good photo story.

great capture and b/w...the people add interest to the scene.

What a shame that little old man wasn't there by himself.

Love this shot! It's quite surreal with the turbines in the background. Love the interaction between the two people as well.
