Ferry Lane

I liked this roadsign in Norwich Cathedral Close yesterday.

Much better than the standard two black posts with a white metal nameplate.

The wall is a typical Norfolk stone and cement construction. very distinctive, and visually and photographically very appealing.

Efex pro'd again!
What a great street sign - like how you've positioned it and those stones do look like a photographers dream!

My sister lives 20 miles or so from Norwich but I have never actually been in the city itself....I am missing something! Her house has this flint & brick construction & It's lovely.

What a great find. I like the textured surroundings.

I think I must correct you, looks like flint and lime mortar!! Apparently one cannot use normal cement mortar with flints as they expand and contract....so!!! Lovely shot though!!!

Yes, agree with @fannyb, I was, brought up a Norfolk girl and know the cathedral close well!

Very appealing design. Not as sterile as a standard street sign.
