Ratcliffe with Giant Haystack by seanoneill

Ratcliffe with Giant Haystack

When I popped out to take pics of Ratcliffe from Winking Hill Farm yesterday morning I took some shots with the haystack and Ratcliffe in the background.

When I got home I realised they would have been better if I had taken my shots from ground level and created a distorted perspective, so I popped back yesterday afternoon.

I will post the colour version in my 2nd album, and for once I think the B+W is much better than the colour version.

Another busy week awaits, up and down to London twice, cricket presentation evening, and hopefully a few new pieces of business that I have been working on will come to fruition.
Your efforts were rewarded Sean, I like the towering feel of the haystacks!

Think I prefer the b and w, has a more ominous feel to it.

I like the pov and the industrial/agricultural contrast. Nicely done.

Love the low PoV and the contrast between rural & industrial.

Just the reverse in my neighborhood. Lots of hay, no cooling towers.

That hay stack is so incredible. It looks like it is growing roots.

'The pen is mightier than the sword" - or should that read the haystack is mightier than the cooling tower

Super composition and presentation.

What a great juxtaposition of natural (hay) and artificial. It's a 'Sean' shot of stacks but adds a new element. Very cool shot!
