After I left St Pancras yesterday I went to visit the free exhibition of Bert Hardy's work currently being held at Getty Images. I was so tempted to buy a copy of his Blackpool railings picture. I may well do so yet!
After this I had 2 hours until an evening meeting near Victoria Station, so I sauntered with camera down Carnaby St, Golden Square, Air St, Regent St., Swallow St., Piccadilly, theough Green Park and past Buckingham Palace to my meeting. In the autimn sunshine, with my camera in hand it felt great to be alive.
I liked the position of these two characters in this scene on Air St outside the rear of the Cafe Royal.
If I had chance I would buy a copy of that too...love those two girls taken about the same time as I was their age!! Lovely b/w ...you are lucky in London to see all this stuff!
Their images pull together so well. Nice street shot. Totally identify with that feeling of your day. I spent the morning myself wandering around a village taking shots and got a "at one with the world", the weather was so beautiful too.
