Buckingham Palace by seanoneill

Buckingham Palace

A group of young Spanish kids all stood on a wall to get a better view of Buckingham Place.

Taken at the edge of Green Park in London on tuesday.
This is a really good black & white....the dark silhouettes against the white stonework is brilliant!!

I wish I had thought of doing it like this when I visited London last month. Well, I'll have another chance the first week of December.

Great contrast between the black silhouettes and white of the palace. Love the composition.

This helps emphasize the massive size of the Palace. The high key feeling of the building is an interesting contrast to the shadowy kids.

Really great with the bridge's light peeking through which connects with the building and all else is dark. I also love the trainers. You are seriously a master of black and white. B/W is actually my favourite way to shoot. I usually use a manual camera and print them myself. Right now, a great point and shoot is easier to troll around NYC.

I wonder what they made of our Royal Palace. I like the way the students are silhouetted against the lighter treatment of the palace building.
