As many of you will know, I have decided to shoot one of my favourite local locations on the first of every month, whatever the weather.
It is difficult to come up with a new take on the place every month! This month I have tried a different POV in the field below the trees and decided to process as high key.
I have also taken Ben to see his consultant to day and been given the most incredible news. Having spent 14 and a half years on the wrong side of the line with his condition, we have now been told that Ben is well, and should stay that way. We have been told that his operation was the first of its kind in the world on someone with his condition, so for it to have gone so well is beyond comprehension. Ben will need his stent replacing from time to time, and has to look after his teeth well, but he can now lead a full and active life. Our whole family are thrilled, relieved, over the moon!
It will take some time to put recent months, and the whole 14+ years to the back of my mind, but it will get there eventually. There is so much more I could say but for now I just cannot express my gratitude to Ben's consultants, surgeons. cardiologists enough.
I think this works well in high key, but prefer the colour more.
The news about Ben is fantastic! So pleased for you and your family. Once things have quietened down a bit don't forget your welcome over anytime at Staunton.
Wonderful news, and it sounds like his ground-breaking surgery will benefit others as well. Wow! I'm not sure I understand why, but I like the closer B&W best and the wider color best.
Fabulous news Sean. Sounds like you have one very brave son. Controversially from me....I like the colour best too.... But as always they are all great.
Superb news Sean, I'm really happy for Ben, you and the rest of your family!
I really love this photo, the high key enhances the solitude feeling. Another fav
Oh, that's marvellous news, Sean! I should imagine it's going to take a little while to sink in. Can't tell you how pleased I am for Ben and all of you.
This is lovely - I like the light, airy feel to it.
Apologies for the mass thanks, I wish I could thank you all personally but time is against me today and I wanted to express our gratitude for your good wishes and support through these last few months. It has been very hard for us, but the outcome could not have been any better for us. Your constant words of support and encouragement are so well received and we will always remember the way this incredible community has kept us in their thoughts and prayers.
Wonderful news Sean, you must all be overjoyed. You have given this a fresh look. I like it. I tried something similar yesterday as I walked along the lane as the sun came up. I failed, of course!…the hill was too steep!…the fence was in the way!… it wasn't a lone tree! ... the lens was too short!... the lens was too long! …… :-)) The light was good though!
Oh wow, that's wonderful. As it has dominated your life for so long, and all of his life, it will be strange that its something you can put behind you. Such good news.
Sean, this is amazing and wonderful news about Ben! Congratulations to you all. And this shot is very effective with the high key treatment. It fits your news.
Loving the high key on this shot too.
