Rebecca and ben had a trip to London yesterday to see the matinee of Les Miserables. It was (one of) Ben's treats for his bravery during his recent operation.
I took my X-Pro1 with me when I collected them at 10pm to see if I could get any decent shots, and am quite pleased with a group of hand held on the bridge.
This week is a bit of a first for me, I have taken a week off to get jobs done around the house. We have spent the best part of two days in our garage sorting my wine collection, dismantling the kids model train layout, and later today building a scalextric circuit on their old train table. Anyone want to buy a huge train set?
In family news, an up and down few days. One of my sisters has had her first baby, and one of Rebecca's uncles is gravely ill and we are not expecting good news. He is such a lovely chap. I also want to congratulate my in laws John and Rosemary who are celebrating 49 years of marriage today.
I will try and catch up with all your projects over the next few days.
I'm actually loving this one, without the train the most! Maybe because the lines are clean in this frame and there's that solitary lurker down there? (No pun intended about the clean lines) The Fuji's produce magic images in the right hands!
@newbank Several sets Ruth. Eurostar, Pendolino, GNER HST, Virgin Voyager, loads of additional engines, buildings, scenery, tracks. Have no idea on value, but you are welcome to drop by and have a look. Am just dashing up the post office, will do some research on reasonable prices for you and drop you an email later.....
Loving your train station shots Sean.......something about the lines disappearing into the distance.
How often does that happen in families....one is born & one sadly departs this life.
I like the sharp geometry in this one. It has a markedly different feel to the other two, as if you are admiring the lines. I like both images in their own ways because for me they are conveying different concepts.
I noticed that you had commented on Raye's page @sunraye wondering if she was going to return to 365. I have followed Raye for the last year and wondered the same. I thought I would check out your photos and what a fantastic collection all in b&w. I just adore b&w photography and you have so many excellent photos here.
I just love this one, everything about it is fantastic, love the symmetry and also the lone person wandering onto the station.
By the way my husband would love to buy your huge train set, but it could be difficult to post to Australia.
Brilliant comp, esp with the central position of the tracks and the contrasts with the lighter platform. We would have room for a train set but my kids are more lego fanatics.

The OH would probably love the train set if we had anywhere to put it. ;)

No train set for me, I do enjoy a good scalextric race though.
