Pickering Station Master by seanoneill

Pickering Station Master

On the first day of our holiday Rebecca and I nipped into Pickering and left the kids watching movies.

We popped to Pickering Station to take some steam train shots, only to find the trains cancelled that morning! Luckily, the Station Master was suitably attired for a B+W shot, a real step back in time!
A great catch Sean...he does indeed look from another by gone time! Love it when these train stations make so much effort!

A real step back indeed. I see this and I think of Bernard Cribbens shouting, "Oakworth!" - probably just showed my age there. ;)

@yrhenwr You found it remarkably quickly, I only posted it an hour or so ago! Thanks for finding it so quickly, I actually took it with you in mind, he is stood about 30 feet from where I shot the steam train you have a copy of from way back when.

@bluefirebucket Aye, there is that way of looking at it. We did set our watches back 50 years when we crossed t'border! They were still fast even then in some places we visited! Has tha' ever bin t'Kirbymoorside?

Instant fav. Instant Sean oneill classic special that first drew me to your work. The detail in the brick work, the beautiful composition, the choice of subject. Oh so pleased to see it. Missed stuff like this.
