Peterborough Cathedral stonework

I always love to see the workmanship involved in our beauiful British cathedrals. Though the form is simple, it os always very pleasing to my eye and lens.
I love that stonework, it is beautiful. Lovely capture!

Formal, yet lovely, composition Sean. It shows up the craftwork so well. Do we still have stone-masons? My grandfather was one.

@yrhenwr How interesting David. Maybe some of his handiwork here then. So many of our cathedrals are sandstone, they are constantly being worked on. We saw some stonemasons at work at York Minster last summer.

I always find it incredible to think that they did all this so many years ago with none or our modern gadgets and tools. Beautiful image of these pillars.
