I Attended The Vivian Maier Gallery Opening In Los Angeles Last Night.
I met three wonderful 365 photographers last night at the Merry Karnowsky Gallery in Los Angeles, @robinwarner, @keithdavid and @lorihiro. They are such fantastic people whom I have admired since I started the program. Vivian Maier prints, talking to John Maloof, and hanging around with three great 365 photographers makes for an ACE evening. Vivian Maier's work is just amazing. This photo is a couple of gallery attendees admiring her work.
@mamabec It was such a thrill to see so much of her work. She had quite an eye for street detail. I was so lucky to have the opportunity to meet Robin, Lori and Keith at the event. They were so delightful. I flew down in the afternoon and left in morning the next day and had about a month of experiences!
What a combination fo experiences Constance! I love how you casually mention that you just flew down to LA!!! hahha and to meet those three 365 ers..wowo and the exhibition...incredible! I love this capture here, the tilt of the head and the studying of the picture...:-)
Such a fabulous evening!! The Vivian Maier event would have been amazing on its own...but to meet up with three 365ers makes it priceless! This is a marvelous shot from the exhibition. I hope it makes its way to CLT ~ would love to see it. I'm so glad her work was discovered and is being fully appreciated. It reminds me a great deal of your street shots.
