Today in Seattle a station was set up to turn in your guns for gift cards. They had a big turnout. However there were also dealers on the street buying guns for cash!
Its those dealers that should be locked up....great cause and great hoodie. Love the black and white. Im from australia and our gun laws are so stringent. Its such a shame to see what happens in the US.
The big question is, what are they doing with the guns they buy? If the motive is to get guns off the street and out of the hands of some of the criminals, then the governemnt should be doing this, not dealers. Something is wrong with this idea.
@digitalrn the police force was buying the guns with gift cards and the intention is to destroy them. However gun dealers also showed up to buy guns for cash to resell them. Hard to control.
@seattle Ok, then at least they are on the right track. A few years ago the poilce department in our town had a buy back guns, no questions asked, and surprisingly they took a whole slew off the street. It was scary thinking all those guns were out there, and not registered.
