Flower or Weed

Is this a flower or weed? It was growing in a greenbelt and the flowers were attached to a vine-like branch. Thanks for all of your comments and visits. Enjoy your day.

Believe they're right on this being a hawthorn - they grow wild in several colors and have such a pretty blossom. Really nice shot with wonderful lighting.

Gorgeous color! It looks a bit like something in my yard, planted by the previous owners as erosion control. My blossoms are a lighter pink, though. Don't know the name, but I had already planned to research.
