This shot was taken yesterday in the late morning while I was standing on a hill above Elliott Bay. The Cascades are east of Seattle. The cold snap continues in Seattle. The temp at 7am this morning was 24 degrees. A little more info on the cascades: "The Cascade Range or Cascades is a major mountain range of western North America, extending from southern British Columbia through Washington and Oregon to Northern California."
Ah, Seattle. I will miss it. My son and his wife moved to California to be closer to her parents when their baby was born :) Excellent photo! Where were you when you shot this? Baker Park?
@marylandgirl58 I live in West Seattle and was standing on a hill above Harbor Ave looking east. As you know, Seattle is a city of hills with great mountain and water views.
Yes! Lots of hills :) I was mostly around the SPU, Queen Anne and Roy Street areas, although their wedding was at the Rainier House. Seattle is beautiful no matter where you are!
Love all the things you've included in your scene from the waters of the Sound to the fabulous mountains - with the very modern city in between. Quite a view.
One thing that draws to 365 is the opportunity to 'visit' places I'd otherwise not see. This is a sterling example. The blue cold gives an extra frisson. TY?
