Male Bufflehead

These shots were taken at Green Lake a couple of days ago. The Bufflehead is a diving duck which looks similar to the Goldeneye diving duck. The iridescent head colors are striking in the sunlight. These diving ducks are challenging to photograph because they are constantly diving in and out of the water. Enjoy your day.
