Griffin belongs to my neighbors. Blake and Elaina adopted Griffin through Golden Bond Rescue of Oregon. GBRofO sent a team to China to rescue Griffin and other golden retrievers who were in jeopardy. Blake and Elaina had to go through a long process to adopt Griffin because GBRofO wants to make sure that these rescue dogs are going to responsible, carling, loving people. Griffin had been malnourished and mistreated the first 6 mos of his life. Blake and Elaina have loved, nursed and cared for Griffin for the past year. Griffin has stunted growth but he is otherwise healthy due to the love and care he has received this past year from Blake and Elaina. Griffin is one of the most loving dogs I have ever been around and he is very smart. As you can see from these photos, Griffin is well cared for and loved and as a result has so much confidence in himself.
I fail to understand how anyone could mistreat a Golden Retriever! They are such loving dogs and want to please their owner above all things! Lovely to see such good pictures!
It breaks my heart to know that some animals are so mistreated that wonderful people like your neighbors went to great lengths to rescue him (and them!) It defies logic that a handsome animals like this isn't loved from birth!
I'm so glad Griffin's story has such a happy ending. He's a gorgeous dog and so fortunate to have been adopted by such loving people as Blake and Elaina. :-)
