This shot was taken from the kitchen area looking down the middle hallway to the foyer and beyond the front door to the vestibule. Luna's and Boo's historical surroundings have no affect on their mischievousness. I entered into the house from the back kitchen door yesterday and found almost two weeks worth of mail and packages that I had organized on the kitchen counter scattered all over the kitchen floor. I re-organized the mail, packages and placed them back onto the kitchen counter. I then found large-heavy photos of the family that had been arranged on the shelves of a bookcase in the living room knocked over and the lovely lamp on the top of the bookcase was also knocked over. Poor Luna and Boo...Are they acting out because they miss their family? My niece and her family return home tomorrow. The cats have never been away from the family for more than perhaps 5 days...it's been 15 days. Other than this episode, Luna and Boo have been quite good while their family has been on vacation. My niece's home was built by a sea captain about 120 years ago. All the wood is original. When they moved in, my nephew-in-law replaced all of the wiring, plumbing, remodeled the bathrooms, kitchen. Thanks for stopping by.
This is probably my favorite style of architecture. Is it called arts and craft? Or some other name.? In any event, i love the straight lines and the rich wood.
Poor Luna and Boo, such typical behaviour by cats when they feel neglected (by their parents/owners) Our previous cat used to chew the persian carpets! Wonderful woodwork on the beautiful home.
I think there are two people on 365 called Luna and Boo! At first I wondered what they were doing here and why, then decided that they were cats. A perfectly lovely house and one to be treasured!
Oh that house is a dream! How wonderful that no one painted the wood back in the 60s!!! It sounds as though they poured their labor of love into the home, and what a joy it must be to live there with their mischievous cats who need their playmates to return!
I lthink that is the reason for their behaviour. Cats are tied to the home not to their masters and they get confused when they change homes. You have a lovely house but it is no good to our weather. We use lighter colours and little wood to keep our houses cooler because of the warm weather.
@sangwann Dione -- This is my niece's home. The cats were in their own home with me popping over every day to care for them.. I think that Luna and Boo are just missing their little family.
Great shot too
