Harlequin Duck

This Harlequin duck shot was taken from Alki Avenue a few days ago. As you can see, he was sitting on a rock basking in the late afternoon sun. It was cold and sunnythat day. This morning Seattle awoke to snowfall. Hopefully, it is short-lived. Enjoy your day.

@s4sayer I think this might be a more common male harlequin. There are photos of exquisite fancy-feathered harlequins on line. Female harlequins are not so showy.
