Today's word/photo challenge is HERO. That's an easy one as today is Father's Day. My husband, Larry; my son, Patrick; my son-in-law,
Stephen; my son-in-law, Dale are all HEROes in my eyes. My father, Bill Byers and my father-in-law, David McPhail, while long gone are still remembered as HEROes.
But there is a different HERO I want to honour today and that is the congregation of our beloved church - Wesley Mimico United. We are in the throws of a major regeneration which will take us into unknown territory if all the hard work of the last six years get passed at the various levels of government in the next month.
Today we had a Celebration Service at 2pm at which friends and members past and present gathered to worship, share stories and then partake in delicious treats together. I wish I could post all the pictures, but there are just too many.....
Next Sunday will be our Outdoor Service at 10:30. Our last service in our beautiful sanctuary will be on June 29th. It will be a sad day but one filled with hope for the future as we move forward. Please keep us all in your thought and prayers........
