This photo was taken on March 19 at 7:08 am at the bottom of Amos Waites Park along the Mimico Linear Park. It was quite by accident that I saw this little mink scampering across the thin layer of ice on the bay - I thought it was open water and held my breath until he arrived safely onto the little island. I wish I had had my longer lens ready, but it all happened so fast. Guess winter is still hanging on tight!
