On my way to greet the sun I walked past my school and discovered that there were 8 large fire trucks, at least 3 DCs vans, police cars, and other assorted vehicles blocking off the main bus route. Apparently there was a fire on the roof of the school at 5am, the fire and the water from the fire hoses went through the roof and into the auditorium. The school was not closed but there were some accommodations that needed to be made.
Then this afternoon there was an announcement that the cafeteria was closed - apparently all the water from the morning had overtaxed the pipes/sewer system, the sump pump could not keep up and there was now a flood in the kitchen.
As if that was not enough we then had a fire drill! And last week one of the large old trees in the school yard came down in the wind storm - hopefully that is our 'things come in threes' - wind, fire and water!
Wow! What a story! After the "lovely-but-grey morning" I had to see this glorious sunrise! Wow! What a different story you had to share and on such a glorious start to the day!
