Cherry Tree by serendypyty

Cherry Tree

16 - 30 Days Wild

There is so much fruit on all the cherry trees at the moment. I've never seen such an abundance of wild cherries, in parks, beside the roads, front gardens and these ones by a local duck pond. I expect it's a result of the wonderful weather we've had over the last few weeks.
I think you may be right. Everything seems to be doing well this year. I love that you've captured all the stages of ripening here - the colours against the green are outstanding!

So I used to live in Washington state and would see Cherries like this often. Are these sweet cherries or pie cherries? Whatever the case you have captured them beautifully in the single photo!

@grammyn I have seen quite a few people picking the cherries and so I tried one off of this tree - and spat it straight out. It wasn't at all sweet so I expect people want them for cooking. It's a shame as I would have eaten a whole lot more! 😀

@serendypyty on the other hand too many cherries at once can cause some digestive problems you may want to avoid! ;~}
