When my daughter was very young she told me that she knew we were close to "nanny's house" when she saw the sign with the pair of glasses on it. I had no idea what she meant so on our next car ride over to visit she pointed it out. This is the original sign which is still there almost 20 years later and which we now all refer to as the glasses sign.
Ha! That is a good one! You must live in the UK... they specialize in roundabouts. When we lived in London, close to Heathrow Airport, I was always afraid to go over Hatton Cross - a big roundabout with 5 small ones attached. I'm not sure if they have changed it, because many accidents happened and that was almost 18 years ago...
LOL. I hope one of the services is an optometrist because from the looks of the right bow, those glasses need a bit of mending. Have they been like that for 20 years?
@ingrid01 Yes, I'm in the UK. South East England in Kent. We have roundabouts everywhere and I definitely try and avoid driving anywhere near or in London, it's so busy! I really like knowing where other people are from in the world and love seeing new and different things in photos. I hadn't thought to include my own location in my bio so I'll go and update it 😀
@kvphoto@zambianlass I'm always on the look out for unusual road signs. My husband had to go round the roundabout twice so that I could get a half decent photo!
