Nest from Gutter 6.25.11

N is for nest. This is a nest that was clogging the drain-spout that my dad discovered this morning while cleaning out the gutters. I'm not sure what kind of bird's nest it is, but if there's anyone that could identify birds by their eggs, that would be greatly appreciated. Another N today is "Nothing New" really happened
Great capture. I have no idea what kind of eggs those might be, though.

I have no idea what type of bird egg this is. I really don't like birds making nests in the gutters. We have to tear them out. However, we are wrecking the nests. Good shot by the way. I like the focus on the egg in the center of the nest.

Birds find the most interesting places to make nests. My guess is these eggs are either Robin's eggs. They're usually blue and Robins like to use whatever material is available to build their nests- like the plastic that's sticking out of this one. We had Robins build a nest in one of our lawn decorations last year. Every time we opened the front door it scared the poor mama and she'd fly up into a tree and watch us. Good idea to focus on the eggs- it makes you look closer at the picture.
