This is a coin used in the Czech Republic called the koruna. My grandparents gave it to me while we on our trip. I have tried several shots of this coin and they all seemed to turn out blurry but I think this is the best shot I can do. Please note: I took this shot on the 30th but I am using it to replace the blurry one from the previous day. Oh well, I guess I can't have a photo for every single day of the year.
I'm glad you posted your question on the discussions Sam. It does look like you'll eventually have to get a camera if you want the real close-ups but until then you'll have to choose subjects that allow you to shoot from further away. Nice try though!
