Here is a caterpillar I found in my backyard. I helped dad mow the lawn a little bit late in the afternoon and before that he found a dead mouse under the house while trying to look for the source of our ant problem. No luck. :( Does anyone know what kind of caterpillar this is or what butterfly it's supposed to grow up to be?
I'm not sure- can't find a match in my bug book, but it reminds me of a Gypsy moth. You should be able to google "caterpillar pictures" and find out what it is.
