distortions of reality

This is for my Get Pushed challenge, where I've been partnered with Kristina @krisjoy who has asked me to:
For the Get Pushed challenge, I would love to see you take this same abstract approach to do a self portrait! Hopefully that will allow you to use some of the new setting on your camera. I hope this challenges you, and look forward to seeing what you come up with. :)

Now personally I loathe selfies and struggle to do them and I also don't have time to do what I would have liked to do which was have a go at this Escher picture http://www.wikipaintings.org/en/m-c-escher/eye to go with the Escheresque peg. Tonight is the only night I have in this week and I have to work this weekend, so this is the opportunity.

Created with fish-eye setting on the camera, which I want to play with some more, and a bit of additional distortion care of GIMP. (the black rings are from the lack of sleep)

Thank you for looking and commenting. You're all superstars. As an old hand at this I try to spend time following back rather than thanking people individually, but I do really appreciate all your comments (and faves if I'm lucky enough).

A touch of surreality about this one, probably because of the flat nose. Interesting shot.
