Walk of Witness by shannejw

Walk of Witness

On Good Friday the Churches Together in my town hold a Walk of Witness telling the Easter Story. I only saw a part of it because the timing for the whole walk was right across one of the medication times for my daughter and she wasn't great today, but I thought it might make a good subject for this week's Dogwood challenge which this week is:
Story Telling: Shadow
Tell a story. Make it compelling while only using shadow.

About the Story Telling category:
“Good photographers can take beautiful images of something. Great photographers can tell a story with an image. In this category you will take a prompt and turn it into a photographic story.”

It was bright and sunny and I only got one shot at this because the next move was to stand the cross up and perform the next section of the story.

Three good things:
1. Trout with vegetables for a Good Friday meal
2. Daughter responded to extra antihistamines, so we haven't had to call an ambulance tonight.
3. I met various people I know on my wanders that I don't normally see.

Thank you for looking and your amazing responses, you're all superstars. I prefer to look and comment on your pictures rather than thanking you individually below.
Very cool!

This is so perfect for the 52 week challenge! It really does tell a story with only shadows!

@ludwigsdiana the boring bit is something currently diagnosed as chronic idiopathic angioaedema - which makes her face and airway swell as if she's got anaphylaxis when all the antihistamines and steroids wear off. Current allergy department is weaning her from one of the steroids, which is destabilising her, without treating her otherwise. She's also had the diagnosis of Ehlers Danlos syndrome type 3 (hypermobility) confirmed which may or may not be linked.

What a fantastic story image. Love it. Sorry to hear your daughter has health issues. Not easy to get to the bottom of all that, by the sounds of things.

@arnica17 yes, it's flipped and a certain amount of perspective adjusting (you can see the shape of the paving stones) plus upping the contrast.

Good one for the challenge and I can't stop thinking the shadows look like dwarf munks :)

Interesting high key shot. Nice to be back, but I do pass through occasionally. Actually posted a whole year of images today. LOL. Not the true 365 spirit really... but I like to come back as often as posible.
