I did take other things planned to be half and half images, but when I went through the pictures, my favourite was this shot of the new dripping wet leaves over the damp grass. There's a hen blackbird feeding in the background. (I started aiming to take pictures of a flock of starlings after the leatherbacks in this patch of grass).
Three good things:
1. A certain amount of sorting out achieved - going through all the bags brought back from different Guides sessions, into recycling, rubbish and stuff to keep;
2. The next bit of Guides first aid went well, mad, and who knows what they will remember, but mostly all engaged;
3. Didn't have to use the type 1 antihistamine on my daughter.
Thank you for looking and your amazing response to the Albert Memorial and tube shot. You're all superstars. I prefer to spend time looking at your pictures, rather than thanking you individually below.
Btw you must have got a wrong impression about my walking. In fact I go out every morning for a 3-4mile fast walk. On that particular day I walked around 10 miles dressed for rain and cool temperatures but the weathermen were proved wrong and it was blistering sunshine.
@sangwann well, I was suprised when you said it was a brutal walk. But I tried walking the North Norfolk coast path on the hottest day of the year, and ended up sitting in the shade for an hour before going on.
I like the soft focus- it accentuates that feeling you have after a good rainfall that makes all the trees and grass sparkle with little jewels. Nice shot!
