Clouds on our way out for a walk this evening. Yes we did get soaked on the way home.
Three good things:
1. Two wanders including a longer one this evening;
2. Batch cooked various things including a sort of satay chicken stir fry for supper, rhubarb and ginger cake and a rice and chicken pot
3. Finished another UFO - a really complicated mending job of a vintage shirt.
Thank you for your comments, favs and amazing response to the Lego man. You're all wonderful. I prefer to spend time looking at your pictures rather than thanking you all individually below
Fabulous capture of that dramatic sky, love the rays coming through. When I read about you have been cooking, I always get rather hungry, and that at 6am ;-)
@casablanca UnFinished Object - it had been sitting around since I decided I couldn't wear it as disintegrated as it was under the armpits a few years ago (it's why it survived the weed). I started a hand darning/embroidery/rebuilding exercise on to muslin patches under the arms last autumn and had to give up over the winter as the light wasn't good enough for me to darn using cotton threads. It's taken days and days of work to do this. Vintage as in older than me, hand me down from my mother, really good colours on me and with my wardrobe.
@shannejw Ah, light dawns! That sounds fantastic, you're a clever lady managing to do such beautiful creative things. I hope you get a lot of joy from wearing it after all that hard work.
Btw I have checked about the type of bird in my yesterday's post. Seems you are right again - it is a wood warbler. I found it on Birds of Malta (probably migratory birds).
