For the song title challenge, Life is a Minestrone by 10CC (it was actually for the stir fry we ate on Sunday, but all but the ginger are minestrone ingredients). And also for the Dogwood 52 week challenge which for has been a challenge this week, and I've discarded several attempts and failed to find a natural ingredient to tie into the 30 days wild (I was thinking of elderflower): Composition: Leading Lines
You have already used leading lines to show Infinity. Now try to use strong leading lines in food photography.
About the Compositional Eye category:
“In past challenges we have explored the rules of composition. This year we push the rules even further by using them in specific ways to train your compositional eye.”
Three good things from Sunday:
1. Got round most of the more far flung scarecrows (too late to see some of them) both on my own for an afternoon walk and with my daughter for her evening's wander.
2. much warmer sunnier day
3. nice stir fry made with fresh ingredients rather than a reduced pack (leek, carrot, onion, ginger, garlic, sesame seeds, Chinese leaf, green beans) served with egg fried rice.
Thank you for looking and your amazing comments. You're all fantastic. I prefer to take time looking at your pictures rather than thanking you individually below
I like both stir fry (although I'm not much for cooking it with no wok in the cupboard) and Minestrone (a Fall/Winter staple for us!). I'm glad I'm eating a salad as I'm catching up here- this shot looks so fresh and good it'd make me hungry.
i've been forgetting the 52-week themes. i need to at least catch up on that. i like this for its randomness, or it feels random and it came out great. aces!
I’m so sorry — I just realised I had not given you the challenge I intended to this morning. Apologies. Since I see you are doing 30 Days Wild, do you think you could slip in one “Recently wild” day? Make a still life composition, outside, of at least five different kinds of natural, normally wild material that you have chosen and arranged yourself? If that won’t work, let me know and I’ll give you an alternate.
@summerfield pretty much random, out on the counter/chopping board for cooking, I'd peeled the ginger then looked at the pile and thought it would work for the weekly themes.
Ian
Great lines!
