was on the reeds by the lake in the local nature reserve as I cut through on one of my wanders on Saturday. And I'm so pleased I worked out how to do this on zoom.
Three good things about Saturday:
1. glorious weather for the Girl Guide/Girl Scout camp (we had American Girl Scouts over and set up a camp for them) and they loved the friendship bracelet kits and bat detector;
2. I managed to juggle my daughter and get up there to help some of the time (we were still up at 1am with me dosing her with extra anti-histamine);
3. lots of walking and nature walking up and down three times (so I walked about 8 miles just to and fro).
Thank you so much for all the support, comments and favs on the those pictures I've flooded your feeds with, these two are it and I'm up to date to yesterday. You are all amazing and I am trying to catch up through your feeds too. I prefer to look at your pictures rather than thank you individually below, so if you've commented I will catch up with your pictures.
How exciting that the "Girls" from America could come and camp with you. I hope some lasting friendships formed there. Great dragonfly shot too- they are pretty quick but you got him!
@helstor these last three are on zoom from a distance - which I've found works on this camera, but it's a pain getting the camera to focus on the insect. This one is slightly cropped to lose some more distracting reeds below, but nothing else.
