A duck race. Not real ducks of course. That would be quackers. These ducks are tipped into the local stream, and race along the stream with the current, to the finishing post next to the "sheep dip", a sort of modest village green. Two races, two chances to win. Our ducks didnt win in either. Since we had a pre-race pub lunch, and an inter-race pint, we made a significant loss, but the local village band benefited from the event.
