They look cute, don't they? There have been injuries and deaths when dog walkers have got too close to cows with calves. When I went into this field with my dog on a lead, this pair got a bit agitated, and the cow pawed the ground. Since she could call on reinforcements from elsewhere in the field, we made a discrete retreat and took another route.
