We had an excellent roast beef dinner in this thatched pub and restaurant as part of a family celebration. The roof is being re-thatched. The lighter coloured reeds form the new thatchwork, and the ridge, which looks a little like a Bad Hair Day, is still "work in progress". Thatch lasts up to 50 years, and has very good thermal insulation properties.
