Face of Granite

Morning sun on the cliffs around the local quarry. Granite is quarried, for road stone, and the colours of the face change depending on the strength and angle of sunlight. We live close enough for the daily blast to rock our house, but a shielding hill keeps most of the dust away. The quarry company has made much of then land around the quarry accessible to the public, maintaining paths, steps and ponds. Despite the explosions, the quarry isn definately an assett to our locality.
