A hard frost last night that and a day when the temperature remained below freezing allowed this young chap to practice his ice skating on a local pond. I did see his Dad testing the ice earlier. A structural failure would have resulted in a Dad up to his waist in freezing water, and no doubt a son doubled up with laughter on the shore.
