A birthday surprise from my wife – a glider flight over Oxfordshire! I last “had a go” at gliding over 20 years ago, and have wanted to do it again for some time. Thanks to the warm weather there were some strong thermals, which allowed me to stay aloft, and fly the aircraft (under instruction!) for a lot longer than expected. I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
