Sometimes a Bridge Too Far by shepherdman

Sometimes a Bridge Too Far

This not particularly pretty bridge links two networks of footpaths close to our home. When we arrive at the bridge our older dog waits to find out which route we are taking. The younger dog goes onto the bridge to encourage me to cross – this route is inevitably a longer walk. Both dogs love the field after the bridge, which extends for half a mile to the left, with loads of room for mad running and playing. We often see hares in this field, which the dogs scent and occasionally chase, without any hope of success. We call this “The Cows Field” for a good reason. Anytime now the summer occupants of the field will move in, and the dogs will be kept firmly on a lead as we cross to the far stile
Nice shot and commentary with it! Your bridge is more attractive than a similar one I use which has rather ugly modern metal hand rails.
