Foggy Walking by shepherdman

Foggy Walking

Another photo from a recent frosty foggy (and mud free) walk. Tia was taken by surprise by the ice – she attempted to run through a pool of flood water, and ended up doing a sort of handbrake-turn with a surprised expression on her face. Even 4-paw drive couldn’t grip on this stuff. Subsequent puddles are treated with more caution. The fog got a bit thicker as we approached the boundary of some local sand pits, and suddenly we all three spotted a hare leaping out of the grass and heading into the gloom. The dog’s reaction was a lot quicker than mine, and they disappeared into the fog, heading for the sandpits. I can call them away from almost anything, but not hares (or pheasants) that run (or fly) just a few feet in front of them, teasingly close, although the dogs have no chance of catching either. They returned after a few minutes, without bringing back anything for dinner.
