This was taken during the same walk as yesterday (at this time of the year I struggle to take a photograph every day – it would either be flash lit fields or my office). Having walked around the frozen pond we climbed up to the edge of the quarry and safely enjoyed a track that is usually quite slippery in winter. The track slopes away from the quarry, and without grippy boots there is a tendency to slide sideways. Definitely unsuitable for most wellies.
