The old barn - a sparrow's view

The old barn by the field track, as seen from the top of the flailed hedgerow. Although the weather has been cooling down once again, we have had wonderful clear skies and bright sunshine, quite warm in the very light winds. Bright skies means longer days, snowdrops are on the verge of flowering, daffodil shoots are poking up to investigate the late winter weather – there is a least a very faint whiff of spring out and about in the countryside. But none of us here are taking this for granted. We have seen the weather forecast.

Love your perspective. Glad the hedging has been done now rather than in a few weeks when the birds are nesting. It feels very very cold today.

Love the sparrow's view! Yes, bitterly cold today here in north Essex, a really raw day with that wind chill factor very evident. My weather station is showing a snow warning !
