Wild snowdrops brighten the hedgerow bordering the Lane on a dull grey cold foggy morning. Well the snowdrops are wildish – I suspect that originally they were planted by one of the local residents. The ground is once again soggy, and my favoured walk is back around the cropped turf of Croft Hill. Today there were no views of the surrounding countryside, with the surrounding mist making the hilltop seem quite isolated. I still enjoyed the walk though, quiet and atmospheric with the trees emerging dripping from the fog as we approached them.
Very nice.
