I'm not watching any birdie

Our two dogs are not photogenic. As soon as a camera appears, they look the other way, not coincidentally, but deliberately looking backwards over the shoulder, or even just walking away. The command “Watch me!” used so effectively during dog training to attract attention, has no effect whatsoever. Whoever said that dogs use their sense of smell for recognition is not entirely correct – as soon as the owners face disappears behind a camera, our two dogs just don’t want to know. There are various ways to fool them, such as photographing them when they are engrossed in another activity, or call unexpectedly to them, and be ready with the shutter. Alternatively do what Shepherdman’s wife did here. Wait for a hot afternoon, when Lesia really cannot be bothered to move, and join her down on the cool grass.
This is so cute! Love your (and their) low POV. Great shot!

Lol - It seems to be an almost universal effect! One of my cats reacts the same way to my camera or when I put a hat on! Love the way she Lesia looks almost resigned to the camera's presence - half shut eyes, ears sightly forward and out. Looking forward to Shepherdman's wife posting that image!

NIce shot of a photographer in action. So you both shoot? Cool. My hubby recently joined 365, but I am the serious one. He got a shot of me taking one of my better shots recently and posted it.

Two of my mutts will happily pose but the third just will not. I have even tried using live view so as not to put the black box in front of my face but she still moves away, or mores the point she races towards me!
This is a really cool capture, I hope the picture taken turned out well!

HAHA ... dogs ... Now .. if it had been a cat I might have had more sympathy for you .. but dogs? What the heck! Maybe you've taken too many pictures of them and they are just fed up.

Hehehe, Olive is often the same way, have to catch her just so...although if you're holding a treat, you increase your chances.
Cute shot

Love this. A great shot. Mine do the same. What about holding a treat in your left hand as you steady your camera? It may make your equipment smell like liver, but the great shot could be worth it. :o)

Thank you! I now know what I must look like trying to get my dogs to cooperate. I also spent the evening in this position and army crawling through the grass at the local park trying to get shots of bugs.
