We stopped for a riverside walk while on our way to visit the village of Beddgelert, and we decided to try some long exposure shots of the flowing river. Shepherdmans Wife had brought her tripod for the purpose, but since I had the dogs, quite enough to manage without additional equipment. Instead I steadied my camera on a handy riverside boulder. It may not have been as level as a tripod, but it was certainly a lot sturdier, although really long exposures were out of the question. I know this. I tried.
