One of Mousehole’s smaller fishing boats, no doubt used for occasional inshore day trips with a fishing rod. The boat “lives” in the middle of the harbour, and is hauled in hand-over-hand to the beach. The larger fishing boats, also moored out in the harbour attached to buoys, are far too large to be pulled to the beach, and there are several small dinghies close to the shore which fisherman use to row out to their boat. There seem to be fewer dinghies than fishing boats – maybe there is a sort of Mousehole “car share” scheme used by fishermen commuting to work. The largest fishing vessels are, of course, moored up against the harbour wall for easy access by crew, nets and other equipment.
