Flood water in one of the fields behind our home, captured before the surface was seriously disturbed by eight large paws. As I write, the large puddles in the fields are receding and the going is soft, rather than muddy. With a little careful route planning I can return with a dog that is almost clean, but only because long haired Shepherd Lesia is till on short walks on a lead, thanks to her leg injury (which is improving). Short haired easy-maintenance Tia can romp through mud and water and still somehow stay relatively clean.
