This is a well-established and old farm track but I’m not sure what it originally led to. Nowadays it leads through a gateway to a couple of wildlife ponds, but there is no sign that there were ever any farm buildings at the end. Maybe I will see if I can locate some old maps of the area, just out of curiosity. We often use it as part of the return leg of a dog walk, after following the higher path around the quarry edge to steep steps that drop down to a footpath and boardwalk that eventually lead past the ponds to this track.
