During a recent visit to London I had to admit to admiration for Transport for London – it just seems to work. Apologies to anyone who has to regularly endure the London rush hour, a rare experience for me, and notwithstanding strikes, but my experience is that, on the whole, it delivers as promised, literally. Not so sure about The Shard though. I don’t care about what it represents – it is forever destined to look almost, but not quite, completed.
