Cuckoo flower by shepherdman

Cuckoo flower

Cuckoo flower or Ladies Smock, quite common in these parts, thriving in groups in damp areas. I love this flower, since it is a sign that spring is well and truly established. Every year I see them, and can’t remember whether they are called cuckoo flower or ladies smock, and every year I look in my wild flower book and discover that they are both the same flower.
Such lovely colours.
