Yesterday morning the grass was wet after overnight rain, and the path around the quarry edge was busy with slugs crossing between the lush vegetation on either side. I decided that slugs aren’t particularly photogenic, but when I saw this chap, I couldn’t resist a lying-on-my-tummy shot, despite the damp conditions. The dogs are no longer surprised by such antics. Maybe I should have tried a composition of slugs, snails, and the puppy dog’s tails – what little boys are made of, according to the nursery rhyme. I don’t think that the tails would have stayed still for long enough.
